Josephine Forbes of Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute has researched many foods, including croissants. Chemicals contained in a croissant titled Advanced glycation End Products (AGEs). Material is also contained in the soda and coffee. Forbes mentions that too much content of AGEs in the body can cause heart disease and diabetes. Not only that, wrinkles and pigmentation also appear showing the process of skin aging.
